Heraeus is the new majority owner of Huden Co. Ltd. of South Korea
- The business segment Heraeus Dental continues to implement its growth strategy in Asia by acquiring a majority stake in a dental distributor in South Korea.
As of July 1, 2010, Heraeus Dental owns a majority stake in Huden Dental Co. Ltd., a South Korean dental distributor founded in 2008. With this acquisition, Heraeus has further expanded its strong position in Asia.
The shares, acquired as part of a capital increase, give Heraeus Dental its first opportunity to be active with its own organization in this growing dental market. Better access to sales management and the acquisition of product approvals will lay the foundation for the sustained growth of Heraeus Dental in South Korea.
Huden Co. Ltd. will concentrate exclusively on marketing Heraeus Dental products to the target group of dentists and dental technicians. Business activities will focus on direct and indirect sales of casting materials, composites, and adhesives, as well as alloys and ceramics.
