Mectron aims for adequate education support and training through piezosurgery course workshop for dentists

The inventors of piezoelectric bone surgery, Mectron, has organized a two-day course on piezosurgery to educate people about different applications of the piezoelectric bone surgery technique.

To be held on July 30 - 31, 2010, in Phuket, Thailand, the two-day course will cover the technical basics, indications of implantology and parodontology, applications and benefits of piezosurgery, comparison of piezosurgery with traditional techniques, tips and tricks, as well as a hands-on section that will include a demonstration and hands-on training on animal bone., i.e.: bonechip and boneblock harvesting, bonesplitting, sinus elevation, implant site preparation with piezosurgery. Dentists will also have the opportunity to discuss and present their own cases.

An estimated total of 30 doctors from the Asia-Pacific region are expected at the piezosurgery course, namely from Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The course trainer, Dr. Simone Verardi, will be presenting the course.
