The new organization International Society for Digital Dentistry (short: ISDD) was founded at the beginning of the year 2010 in Duesseldorf, Germany. It is directed towards dentists and dental technicians throughout the whole world as well as people from fields outside dentistry which have become important for the dental sector due to increasing permeation of technology.

The activities of the society are focused on the international valorization of the scientifically based digital dentistry, dental laboratory technology and their integration within the field of prevention, diagnostics and therapy. Due to the international orientation potential, know how and conclusions from all over the world will be bundled within the society.

Furthermore, the society is committed to enhance the scientifically based odontology, oral and maxillofacial research as well as technical technologies. The worldwide publication of the conclusions has high priority on the society’s agenda. Members of the ISDD benefit, for example, from a varied vocational training and continuing education program and a unique network for digital dentistry and dental technology.

Interested persons can submit their declaration of membership online at the society’s website www.isdd-online.net. The annual fee is 97 Euro and 40 Euro respectively for students, assistants and apprentices.
