Dental Units Donated To Pobba Thiri Dental Hospital In Myanmar
The Pobba Thiri Dental Hospital was established in 2016 as the first national hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar which has developed remarkably in recent years. This hospital is expected to further develop as a base of oral health care in Myanmar. GC Corporation contributed three Dental Units (Sovereign) to the Pobba Thiri Dental Hospital. A contribution ceremony was held at the site on 19th February 2018. Myanmar administration official, President Nakao and Mr. Watanabe, Chairman of Japan Myanmar Association attended the ceremony.
After the ribbon cutting opening ceremony, a site inspection and a lunch gathering was held with many hospital staff. In the afternoon, GC Corporation visited Dr. Myint Htwe, Union Minister of Myanmar (Ministry of health and Sports). GC has promised to continually cooperate and support Myanmar government, not only materials but also in education and training of dental health care staff for improvement of oral health in Myanmar. After the discussion, President Nakao received a certificate of appreciation from the minister.
Four GC associates namely Mr. Saruya President of GC I Communications, Mr. Kurashima, Mr. Mizutani and Mr. Koshiba GC Corporation worked diligently for the success of the event. They were responsible for the communication and negotiation with Myanmar Government, Hospital and Japan Myanmar Association and the installation of dental units in the hospital.
